Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Hatamuniguda, celebrated the National Sports Day with great zeal and energy through a three-day programme held from 28th to 30th August, 2026, commemorating the birth anniversary of the legendary hockey maestro, Major Dhyan Chand. The celebration highlighted the vital role of sports in shaping healthy bodies, disciplined minds and strong characters. It began on 28th August with a floral tribute to Major Dhyan Chand, followed by homage to India's sporting heroes. Later in the day, the students participated in the "29 Challenges," including "Pass the Ball Challenge", which generated great excitement and encouraged teamwork and co-ordination.
