The 12th International Yoga Day was celebrated at Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Hatamuniguda on 21st June, 2026. The programme began on a sacred note with the students chanting Vedic verses. The Chief Guest, Swami Maheshatmanandaji Maharaj of Ramakrishna Math, Bhubaneswar, spoke on the manifold benefits of Yoga and inspired the students to incorporate it into their daily lives. Sri Ranganath Banerjee, Principal and Shri Pratul Sahoo, Asst. Teacher also spoke on the occasion.

Following the common yoga protocol a vibrant Mass P.T. display, an impressive demonstration of yogic postures, a captivating pyramid show and Surya Namaskar were presented by the students and faculty members. The event effectively reflected the spirit and objectives of International Yoga Day.

In the evening, at the Vivekananda Hall a special lecture on “Essential Values for Students” was delivered by Swami Maheshatmananda, followed by screening of two documentaries - “History of Yoga in India” and “Yoga : Aligning to the Source”.

Swami Prabhuvarananda welcomed and introduced the guests.

The programme was attended by about 750 persons.
