Vijnanananda Dham - the Gym-cum-Yoga Building, built with the support of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited was inaugurated on Saturday, 25th July, 2026 by Shri B. Parameswaran, I.A.S., Commissioner-cum-Secretary, ST & SC Development, Minorities and Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of Odisha.
He unveiled the inaugural plaque and offered Arati to the Holy Trio amidst blowing of counch shells and Vedic Chanting in the august presence of Shri Anil Kumar Mahato, Coordinator - CSR, RVNL and other dignitaries. This was followed by a public meeting at the Vivekananda Hall.
The Chief Guest Shri B Parameswaran, in his highly informative and interactive address, spoke at length about how students can excel academically and embrace diverse career opportunities. The Special Guest, Shri Anil Kumar Mahato inspired the students highlighting the exalted ideals of Swami Vivekananda.
A vibrant cultural programme presented by the students, comprising a mime show highlighting the excessive use of smartphones, social media, and their harmful effects; a pyramid show depicting mythological themes such as Tridev, Dashavatara, Samudra Manthan, Karna's Kavach Kundal, Ratha Yatra of Lord Jagannath; and a lively tribal dance, was highly appreciated by all.
Swami Gitatmanandaij, Secretary of the Ashrama, welcomed and introduced the guests and expressed his sincere gratitude to RVNL for their support which has provided a space for the tribal students to develop their physical strength with mental calmness.
